For one day experience real life in Kenya. On a tour led by local women guides, explore the informal settlement of Githurai, and learn what Ubuntu community based organization, a small non-profit, is doing to transform and impact the lives of urban women and youth. Amid colorful street vendors, animals roaming the streets, and the most innovative forms of just getting by, you’ll visit local schools and meet entrepreneurs in ubuntu's micro-finance program, where you’ll also have a chance to shop and support their businesses. After lunch enjoy cultural performances during a visit to a community performing arts center called Creative Thespians. You'll even have a chance to participate and learn some of Kenya's most meaningful dances.
