In this class, you can learn how to make onigiri, one of the most traditional and popular light meals in Japan. People of all ages, from children to adults, can participate, and no cooking skills are required. This class is perfect for those who want to learn about and experience the food culture of Japan while visiting.
Onigiri is easy to make, healthy, and can be enjoyed with various flavors depending on the fillings. We will teach you how to make onigiri using unique Kyoto ingredients such as chirimen sansho (dried young sardines with Japanese pepper) and pickled vegetables. If you prefer, you can also make healthier onigiri with brown rice.
We will also introduce ingredients that are easily available, so you can recreate and enjoy Japanese food culture at home after learning how to make onigiri here.
The location is close to the center of Kyoto, making it convenient to join between sightseeing activities.
We look forward to seeing you at the class!
