By using this traditional technique you can display them for over 100 years. The hanging scroll will be a wonderful memory from your trip to Japan.
You will use real ink and brushes for calligraphy and sumi-e. You will also learn about the history and function of kakejiku. Experience the meticulous process of mounting paper on silk backing, and finely triming it to match the scroll. Using traditional materials like washi paper, silk, and bamboo, you can create your own unique kakejiku with calligraphy and sumi-e.
