Immerse yourself in the handmade washi paper making. The workshop begins with an educational introduction to the history and unique characteristics of washi paper. You'll be guided through the entire process, from preparing the raw materials to mastering various papermaking techniques, including the thick washi (tamezuki), water drop (rakusui), thin washi (nagashizuki), and washi with patterns made with washi fibers (unryu) methods, each offering a different texture and design to the paper you create. (All a5 size) Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, our detailed guidance ensures a comfortable and enriching experience for all participants!
Beyond the hands-on crafting, the workshop includes our one of a kind washi tea and Japanese snacks, lunch offering a moment to relax. Enjoy not only a new skill but also about feeling the rich textures and expressing your creativity. Recommended for artists, designers, and anyone intrigued by the beauty of handmade crafts.
