Public transportation options are available nearby. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The cost of the entrance fee to Petra depends upon many variables. The cost depends upon where the client comes from. For Jordanians it is JOD 1 per person for a day visit. For Arabs there are offers made for most of the year for JOD 10 per person for a day visit but it could be JOD 50 per person for a day visit. All other nationalities are JOD 50 person for a day visit. It also depends upon their age as if they are under 12 years of age it is free of charge. It also depends upon how many days they wish to visit Petra. (1 day = JOD 50 per person, 2 days = JOD 55 per person, 3 days = JOD 60 per person).
