Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness. The cost of the entrance fee to Petra depends upon many variables. The cost depends upon where the client comes from. For Jordanians it is JOD 1 per person for a day visit. Non Jordanians with Jordanian residency JOD 10 per person. For Arabs the cost is JOD 30 per person for a day visit. All other nationalities are JOD 50 per person for a day visit. It also depends upon their age as if they are under 12 years of age it is free of charge for all nationalities. Also sometimes clients have prebooked and paid for their tickets prior to their visit.
