Upon your arrival at the designated pick up location, we will leave in the direction of Pompeii, Herculaneum and, if you choose to go, Vesuvius too...the cause of the destruction of the current archeological sites.
Pompeii, is the most-visited archaeological site in the world, due to its many and well-preserved ruins, left behind by a city buried in Vesuvius’s wake in the year 79 A.D. Added to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1997.
Herculaneum, is a sister-site to Pompeii; buried by the same eruption of Vesuvius which destroyed the larger Pompeii. Destroyed in a different way, buried under 16-25 metres of rock, the archaeological site offers a different kind of insight into the Roman world.
Mount Vesuvius, consists of a large cone partially encircled by the steep rim of a summit caldera caused by the collapse of an earlier and originally much higher structure, overlooks the bay of Naples.
You will walk through history, discovering how the Romans lived 2000 years ago.
