A fascinating tour through the history of Lecce from the oldest Messapian and Roman times to the town’s splendors during the Renaissance and Baroque age. Our professional guide will let you know all the history of the splendor architecture of the buildings. We invite you to discover with us more about baroque buildings, by taking a walk in the beautiful city of Lecce, known as the “capital” of Apulia. The tour starts from Duomo Square where we find the Cathedral , the Bell Tower, the Bishop Palace and the Seminary. The tour continues with St. Irene Church, along the main Vittorio Emanuele II street, to reach the main square of the town, St. Oronzo Square, where the Roman Amphitheatre is. This tour ends with the Church of the Holy Cross and the Celestini Palace, symbols of the Lecce Baroque style.
