In this tour you will visit Matera, the Rupestrian city, an incredible and unique place on the Murgia Hills. It's old town carved in a deep ravine, is the first UNESCO site of the southern Italy where people lived in houses- cave from the Prehistoric Age to 1952, in two amazing districts called Sassi. Instead, Altamura is situated in a dominating position on the Murgia Hills, in a National park. It has an old town very interesting with a big cathedral of the medieval period. Known for the typical local bread, defined the best in Italy and with high quality mark DOP, Altamura has a lot of stone ovens where we can taste the typical dishes of the wheat city!
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Suitable for all physical fitness levels
The meeting point for the tour is at the corner between Corso Cavour and Alberto Sordi Street. The guide will be standing outside with our sign. Please check-in with your guide 15 minutes before your tour departs.
