It is a migratory bird with a wingspan of about half a meter, which overwinters in tropical Africa and reaches our territory at the end of spring, to nest along the sandy walls.

The route will end in Torre Olivieri, a lookout tower located on the coast, in the Lama Paterna, an erosive furrow typical of the Apulian landscape, which conveys the meteoric waters from the karst plateau of the Murge towards the Adriatic Sea.
