What To Expect
The tour starts from the heart of the historic center of Monopoli, riding a mountain bike, up to the plain of centuries-old olive trees, where it will be possible to admire wonderful olive trees and discover the secrets of the production of extra virgin olive oil. It will be a journey through time, crossing fortified farms, an ancient underground oil mill with a real oil museum, as well as rock churches with medieval frescoes. An emotional journey that will allow you to discover authentic places in this corner of Puglia, along country roads and ancient sheep tracks. A relaxing ride in nature, in the shade of centuries-old olive trees, carob trees, almond trees, figs and prickly pears, along secondary roads and old dirt paths lined with dry stone walls. The tour ends with the tasting of typical Apulian products and analysis
sensory experience of different types of Apulian extra virgin olive oil.
