Meet your guide and enjoy pre-reserved entry to the Colosseum, the Roman icon built in 72 AD that was once able to seat more than 50,000 spectators. Once inside, gaze down at the arena floor while your guide paints an accurate picture of the gladiator games that took place in the Roman empire’s greatest venue, helping you to decipher between fact, fiction, and the images portrayed by big-screen Hollywood blockbusters.
Outside the arena, travel even further back in time as you enter the Roman Forum, the true heart of ancient Rome, with monuments dating as far back as the 7th century BC. Learn of the legendary founding of Rome on the Palatine Hill and how a she-wolf rescued and nursed the young twins Romulus (legendary first king of Rome) and Remus after they washed up on the banks of the Tiber River. Hear how these famous twins paved the way for tyrants, emperors, and caesars who declared themselves gods throughout the rise and fall of the Roman empire.

Public transportation options are available nearby. Specialized infant seats are available. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. The ground in the Roman Forum is composed of large stone or dirt pathways that can be difficult to navigate with strollers or wheelchairs. Contact us to determine the best way to visit Ancient Rome with small children or guests confined to wheelchairs. Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.. Tour departs rain or shine. Due to the route covered and/or the means of transportation used, it is not possible to participate in this tour using a wheelchair, scooter, or other aid. Please contact us to inquire about customized tour options for guests with mobility challenges. Wear comfortable shoes for walking. Wear a hat and sunblock during summer months. Bring water if you will tour on a hot day. Only small bags or purses are allowed in the Colosseum. No large bags or weapons allowed, and there is no cloakroom available. Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
