A practical woad dyeing workshop to fully immerse yourself in the historical legacies of this maritime city
In addition to the history of the city, you will discover the art of natural dyeing using plants in an artisan workshop that boasts a truly exceptional botanical collection!
You will dye a Marche hemp canvas in woad blue in the Tintúra vat according to the "shibori" technique, an art that came from the East. This is a placemat to personalize by expressing your creativity. Between artistic bindings, folds, wooden boards and strings you will create your own placemat to immerse for a few minutes in the dye bath. By extracting it you will see the magic of the color that fixes on the fabric reacting with the air and you will finally be able to admire your work of art!
