What To Expect

Immerse yourself in the world of Michelangelo and his most famous works of art, including the awe-inspiring David, as well as the Prigioni, San Matteo, and the Pietà di Palestrina. It took the young Michelangelo three years to carve the David from a large block of rough marble, resulting in an imposing sculpture of absolute beauty. You can't leave Florence without visiting one of the most famous art galleries in the world - the Uffizi. Here, you can admire numerous works of art by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raffaello, Giotto, and many others. The gallery's most renowned exhibition hall contains the refined works by Botticelli, including his absolute masterpieces: Primavera and Birth of Venus. The latter painting, an icon of the museum, depicts the allegory of the birth of the goddess emerging from the sea foam and symbolizes the ideal of beauty as an expression of purity and spiritual quality, typical of Renaissance Neoplatonic aesthetics. The guided tour ends at the Uffizi Terrace, where you can enjoy an amazing view of the city's most important monuments. After the guided tour, you are free to stay in the museum.
