What To Expect

Pisa is one of the most visited cities in Tuscany and it is famous for its Leaning Tower. The beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli is among the most beautiful monumental complexes in the world. The town’s most prosperous period was undoubtedly the 12th century and this is witnessed by the urban shape of the old town center with many buildings, squares, and alleyways that run along the Arno river, which was for centuries the major communication route. It has always been an estuary town and used to be an important naval base in Roman times intensifying trade in the Mediterranean. Pisa is also famous for one of the most prestigious higher learning institutions of Europe: the Scuola Normale Superiore. An authorized city guide will accompany you in the visit to the interior of the Cathedral and the exterior of the Leaning Tower and Monumental Cemetery. At the end of the tour, you will also have free time to wander in the square and take plenty of pictures.

Customers must be able to climb and descend stairs in order to climb the leaning tower. Not recommended for participants with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions
A dress code is required to enter the Cathedral of Pisa. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed, you may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements. Please note that on Bank Holidays the Cathedral may be closed to public - you will get a deeper and longer explanation of the Square instead.

Please note that the tour can be done by bus, minivan, or train depending on a daily schedule. In case of train, tickets will be provided by your tour guide
Meet our staff at Villa Costanza, Florence Coach Station. You can easily reach the meeting point getting on T1 Leonardo tramway direction Villa Costanza (you have to get off at Villa Costanza stop which is also the end of the line). The tram ride is around 20 min from city center and you can choose the nearest stop from you. Upon arrival, our staff will be waiting for you wearing a white shirt with a green foulard with our logo.
