The "Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi" is one of the most beautiful corners of Italy. Located between Tuscany and Emilia Romagna is 36.846 hectares wide.
In the park there is a rich fauna of animals such as wolves, deers and boars and some of the finest beech forests you can see, in fact, the Sasso Fratino integral reserve inside the park is a UNESCO site.
The park can offer untouched and stunning nature, but also rich and interesting history.
Public transportation options are available nearby. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness

In front of the church, you can find a grocery store, and a café is only 50 meters from the church.
From there we will continue for 15 minutes by car until we reach the start of the trail.
