In Florence, Italy’s romantic Renaissance jewel, you’ll see ancient contributions to art, culture, and archaeology around every cobbled corner. You could browse books at the 300-year-old library, move between monuments like the Torre della Castagna and the San Lorenzo church, or walk among the ancient homes of the well-heeled. Or maybe you’ll sample local cheeses at gourmet grocery store Pegna and cross the Ponte Vecchio to visit scenic Arcetri, home to Villa Galileo, before tucking into typical Tuscan cuisine at a cozy trattoria.
