What To Expect

Make your way towards the privileged entrance that will allow you to skip all the lines and access the Duomo Cathedral.
Listen to your guide's explanation about one of the largest churches in the world, dedicated to the Virgin of the Flower. Walk towards the end of the aisle and marvel at the view of the magnificent, world-famous Brunelleschi’s cupola and the frescoes representing the Last Judgement, painted by two of the most renowned artists of the 16th Century.

After having taken part on this highly informative and interesting tour of this marvellous monument, you will have the added chance to access the Museum of Misericordia, located on the fourth floor of the historic headquarters in Piazza Duomo (on your own time, without the guide). This museum exhibits close to eighty pieces including manuscripts, paintings, coats of arms, furnishings, and artifacts of the Florentine craftsmanship.

Public transportation options are available nearby. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Due to security measures at the Duomo Complex, you will go through a metal detector. Any items that could be dangerous for people and the exhibited works, at the sole discretion at the checks, cannot be carried inside. Knees and shoulders must be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements. You are required to deposit any backpack or luggage in the luggage storage area at least 20 minutes before the tour's scheduled starting time. Failure to do so will prevent you from proceeding with the tour.
