This German-speaking small group tour leads from the port in Akureyri to the Goðafoss waterfall and the volcanic lake Mývatn.
The tour starts along the fjord and overlooks the town of Akureyri via the Vikurskarð mountain pass to the beautiful Góðafoss waterfall.
From there, the journey continues across two plateaus to Lake Mývatn, where we make several stops. You will experience pseudo-craters, bizarre lava formations, boiling mud springs, craters and the warm-water-filled Gjrotagjá cave known from the Games of Thrones series.
The duration of the tour is about 8 hours; the departure times are adapted to the berth times of the cruise ships.
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Public transportation options are available nearby. Specialized infant seats are available. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Guests with reduced mobility are kindly requested to consult. If you need a rollator or wheelchair, please contact us in advance. Child seat for children from 15 kg can be placed, please inform us in advance if you need child seats. Unfortunately, baby car seats cannot be provided, please bring your own baby car seat, which can be attached with a 3-point belt.
The bus is parked in the bus parking lot by the port. The bus has a sign saying "SPS-Travel / Kria-Tour - Mývatn & Goðafoss" in the windscreen.
