The Forest Lagoon, located just outside of Akureyri, with an amazing view. The Geothermal pool opened in the summer of 2022. It includes a bistro, two infinity pools, swim-up bars, a cold tub and sauna. The pools contain natural geothermal water coming from inside the mountain behind the lagoon itself. The water is rich in good minerals that have healing powers.
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Public transportation options are available nearby. Specialized infant seats are available. Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
