Walk with us on a two hour tour in the white solitude of Héðinsfjörður, home to generations of North Icelanders. While Siglufjörður became the happening town of Iceland at the start of the 20th century, the farmers in its neighboring Héðinsfjörður continued its rural agricultural existence. In both regions, winters could be unforgiving, and the history of region is a fascinating reminder of the stubbornness and perseverance that characterized Iceland for centuries.
We will snowshoe through this beautiful area, sharing stories of generations past.
