What To Expect
Seeing the majestic humpback whale by day is one thing, but seeing it under the spectacular midnight sun is another. The sky turns red as you take this fantastic night tour of the mystical Eyjafjord by boat, leading you to enjoy a truly unique whale watching experience.
It may be night time, but whales never fully sleep, so you should still see these enormous animals, along with the smaller minke whale, porpoises and dolphins, all in their natural habitat. After cruising around the Fjord, wildlife spotting, you can relax with a drink and a snack from the onboard bar, as the boat engines are turned off and you fully appreciate the sound of the waves and the birds around you. If beautiful views, nature spotting and a rum-infused hot chocolate in hand sounds good, then this is the tour for you.

- Please come to the Elding ticket office by Oddeyrarbót pier in Akureyri city centre ahead of your tour to exchange your pre-paid voucher for admission tickets
- Weather conditions can change rapidly in Iceland and therefore the captain could decide to alter or cancel the tour on short notice for safety reasons. In this case you will be contacted you as soon as possible
- Thoug these tours are normally successful in sighting whales or dolphins, if none are spotted you will be issued with a complimetary ticket valid for 2 years
