What To Expect
Experience Iceland's fire and ice as you travel along the south coast. The day starts at the Seljalandsfoss waterfall that you can walk behind in summer. Then it’s onto the thunderous Skógafoss waterfall. Before long you are at one of the highlights of the day in the town of Vík, the Icelandic Lava Show! You will feel the heat of the volcano, with re-melted lava rocks being poured over ice just meters from where you are sitting. This educational indoor show will teach you all about the 1918 Katla Eruption and the harrowing tales that the locals had to endure.
As we drive back towards Reykjavík, you will then stop at the Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach with its angular basalt columns and crashing waves. The final stop of the day is at the ever-changing Sólheimajökull glacier, where you will take an easy valley walk to a safe viewpoint, while learning all about the glacier's journey over the centuries. You’ll be back to Reykjavík in time for you to have a late dinner in the city.

Specialized infant seats are available. Service animals allowed. Public transportation options are available nearby. Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Pickup starts at 9am from your designated bus stop or hotel. Please inform us of where you are staying so we can let you know of the nearest designated pickup point is to meet you for pickup. Restrictions on buses in downtown area mean that we cant pickup from all hotels.. No minimum age. Weather appropriate clothing. Rainproof clothing recommended and can be borrowed free of charge if notified ahead of time. . Please note: the duration of the day includes all travel time while on the south coast. . Some walking is required at each stop but can be amended to meet most guests abilities.

Meeting Point
Pickup is at 9am. Please be at your designated pick up point at this time. We pick up from the designated tourist bus pick up points in downtown Reykjavik (see list to choose from), and certain hotels where it is permissible to drive and pick up from. We can only pick up from the hotels listed. If you are in downtown Reykjavik we will likely need to use one of these pick up points. If you cannot see your hotel in the list then please choose from one of the designated bus stops in central Reykjavik.
