Everyone loves the northern lights. What's not to like? Maybe it's the allure of the big vast sky and the emerald bands popping up against its dark canvas. Maybe it's the thrill of the chase or the science behind it. Likely, it's a little bit of everything.
Here's how the tour works
Start with a pick up by your driver guide at a pre-arranged location. Continue on to a carefully selected location outside city limits to escape light pollution. Top it off with warm cozy blanket, hot chocolate and Icelandic treats while you wait for the northern lights to appear.
Your guide will help you set up your camera and entertain you with stories and scientific facts about the aurora. And to maximise your chances of seeing the magical lights, we may drive to different location (or two) following the aurora forecast.
We also offer portraits of our guests using high end cameras with the northern lights free of charge emailed to you including shots of the Northern Lights on that night forwarded to you once the tour concludes.
After your northern lights adventure, head back to Reykjavík, with your heart full of enchanting memories.
What happens if things don't go to plan
Rest assured, our guides are experts in reading weather forecasts to maximize your chances of witnessing this incredible phenomenon. However, even with the best guidance, sightings are not guaranteed. So if luck isn't on our side, you're welcome to join another tour another day. We'll be in touch to let you know how to rebook or if we re-schedule the date according to the forecast.
If you want to see and do more, why not try another tour with us, such as the Small Group Golden Circle, Friðheimar & Secret Lagoon Tour?
