What To Expect

Experience whale watching under the midnight sun - a unique opportunity during your stay in Iceland! Keep your eyes peeled for minke whales, humpback whales, dolphins and more. If nothing is seen on your tour, you will get a ticket to try again another time at no extra cost.

During the summer months Iceland has nearly 24 hours of daylight, which allows tours to operate under the beautiful midnight sun. There's something extra-special about seeing whales in the evening, surrounded by the glow from an evening sun reflecting off of the waters of the North Atlantic.

This tour is 2-2.5 hours in duration, so you return to harbour just before midnight, giving you plenty of time to search for whales with one of our experienced guides. The four most common species that are seen in Faxaflói Bay are humpback whales, white-beaked dolphins, harbour porpoises and minke whales.

Rósin features warm overalls for every passenger, indoor and outdoor viewing decks, 2 restrooms and a snack bar on board.
