Your first stop will be the Thingvellir National Park, a historic landmark and the place where the Icelandic Commonwealth was founded. Thingvellir is located on the North Atlantic Divergent Ridge.You will then head to the Geysir geothermal area. Here you'll be able to see Strokkur eruptions that are up to 20 meters high and that happen every five to ten minutes. You will then pass by the dormant Geysir and make a stop for lunch.The Gullfoss waterfall is considered to be the most beautiful of Iceland’s 30,000 waterfalls, so stopping here is a must before traveling to the Kerið volcanic crater.
