You can choose if you want to start with a whale watching tour or a trip to the Whales of Iceland exhibition, they are located about a 12-minute walk from each other. Set sail onboard a Classic or Express whale watching tour where you can spot whales in their natural habitat. Humpback whales, minke whales, white-beaked dolphins and harbour porpoises are commonly spotted in Faxaflói Bay. It can be difficult to really understand how huge these animals are in the water, but on at the Whale of Iceland exhibition, you can see full-scale models of them and get a better understanding. Here you can see all 23 species that have been found in Icelandic waters throughout history in real size and you'll learn many interesting facts about the whales and their history.
