Embark on a 3-day tour of Rishikesh from Delhi. Explore the city's iconic landmarks, visit the Beatles Ashram, and witness the Ganga Aarti. Trek to Kunjapuri Temple, visit the Vashisth Cave, and enjoy a yoga session.
Day 1:
Start your journey from Delhi with a pickup from your hotel at 5:00 AM. After a long scenic drive and a stop-over for breakfast (at your own expense), arrive in Rishikesh by 12:00 PM. After hotel check-in and freshening up, explore the city. Visit the iconic Ram Jhula, a 30-year-old suspension bridge over the Ganges, and the many Yoga Ashrams in town. From the super-famous and cool Beatles Ashram to the traditional Swarg Ashram and the very beautiful and eye-catching Parmarth Niketan, see how all these Ashrams have become the soul of Rishikesh over time. End your day by witnessing the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti at the Triveni Ghat in the evening, where a dozen priests perform the ritual in perfect synchronization with hundreds of devotees offering their prayers to Mother Ganga.
Day 2:
Begin your Kunjapuri Trek early in the morning for a magnificent sunrise vista. This is one of the most well-liked treks in Rishikesh, offering views of verdant forests, hidden waterfalls, and Neer Waterfalls. At 1676 meters above sea level, near the city of Rishikesh, sits the well-known Kunjapuri Temple. Views of the snow-covered peaks of Chaukhamba, Swarga Rohini, Banderpunch, and Gangotri are magnificent from the temple. By mid-day, explore the Vashisth Cave, known as the place where sage Vashisth (one of the seven great sages of Hindu mythology) mediated. Popular for deep meditation among travelers, the cave and its nearby surroundings are a sight to behold. The rest of the day is available to explore on your own.
Day 3:
Start your day with a beautiful yoga session early in the morning with a professional yoga teacher. After breakfast, head out to explore the rest of Rishikesh, starting with a visit to the Lakshman Jhula, the second of the two suspension bridges, and the famous Triamakeshwar Temple by the Ganges, the highest temple in Rishikesh. Follow your guide as he pampers you further with an Ayurvedic massage at a renowned massage center. A self-indulging session for 90 minutes will leave your body and your mind completely satisfied. Wrap up your third day with a hearty meal at any of the famous cafes at Lakshman Jhula before heading back to Delhi.
