Golkonda Fort was first built in 12th Century by Kakatiya Kingdom and then re-built and expanded by Qutb Shahi Rulers who are one among five Deccan Sultans in 16th Century. We climb more than 300 steps up the fort to see the fortifications and moats, acoustic and whispering galleries, diamond markets, bastions and cannons, Persian hydrological system, Durbar Halls, Ruined palaces and barracks etc. Next we visit royal necropolis of the Qutb Shahi Kings with great domes, minarets, arches, funerary mosques, step wells, beautiful stucco floral and geometric decorations etc. This tour involves walking and climbing of steps.
