On this day trip from Khajuraho, visit Orchha, a former princely state of India that is famous for its temples and palaces. The state was founded in 1531 by the Bundela Rajput King, Rudra Pratap Singh and by 1802 had come under British rule. What catches the eye are the beautiful canopies of the several palaces and cenotaphs that dot the area.
