What To Expect
Cruise in Kumarakom Backwaters and Narrow canals.
On this full-day tour, you’ll travel in a car, mini van and take the scenic highway and village roads towards the city of Kumarakom, the backwater region in Kerala famous for the lake, lagoons, paddy fields, coconut gardens.
It is serene waterways fringed by palm groves and paddy fields and offers a view of traditional life there.
Traveling 1 hour from Kochi on reaching Kumarakom you will be taken on board a Shikkara boat pre-booked It is a 3 hour cruise in a Shikkara boat along the lagoons, narrow canals, lake, palm fringed islands, and villages of paddy, coconut farmers , fishermen, etc., At the end of the cruise we will drive back to Kochi.
On the way back in case you prefer you will be escorted to a restaurant for lunch in a resort of Kumarakom International Tourist Village.

We, the staff of Excel India Tours will be at the port /pier 30 minutes before the arrival of your ship. You can find us (as you come out from the immigration office) holding the pager board of your name.
We can also pick the travelers from places like Kottayam, Cherthala, Thuravoor, and Aroor as well.
If you need pickup from other places than these, please inform us. We will be able to arrange pickup on mutually agreed terms. For Example if it is Alappuzha, Kollam, Trivandrum etc., we will be charging extra because those places are away from the route from Kochi to Kumarakom.
