Following India’s partition in 1947, a large numbers of Hindus and Sikhs migrated to Delhi from the Punjab area of what is now Pakistan. Overcoming the traumatic events of Partition, the Punjabi migrants built their lives afresh in Delhi. Many of them settled in the Jangpura-Bhogal area of Delhi, establishing homes and businesses there. This walking tour is an experience of the culture of this community.
