What To Expect

Explore the famous temples of Delhi and see the architectural marvels. Visit the Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in New Delhi which epitomizes 10,000 years of Indian culture in all of its breathtaking grandeur, beauty, wisdom and bliss. Then visit the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib, the most prominent Sikh gurdwara, or Sikh house of worship. The grounds include the temple, a kitchen, a large pond, a school and an art gallery. In the evening, you can take part in Aarti, a light ceremony, in the ancient Krishna temple known as ISKON.

Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller. Public transportation options are available nearby. Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap. The Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple is closed Mondays. The Bahai Lotus Temple is closed on Mondays. Please dress modestly; arms and legs must be covered at places of worship. Shoes must be removed at most places of worship. Cameras and mobile phones are not allowed inside Akshardham Temple; these devices can be held for you at the cloakroom before entry. Comfortable walking shoes recommended. Vegetarian option is available, please advise at time of booking if required. Minimum numbers apply.
