Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health. Travelers should have a high level of physical fitness. Waterproof Jacket AND Waterproof overtrousers ( breathable fabric recommended but not essential ) . Comfortable Clothing ( STRICTLY NO JEANS / DENIM ) . Rucksack . Hiking Boots . Water / Fluids & a packed lunch ( energy bars / jellies also recommended ! ) . Spare Fleece / Warm Layer for the summit. Light Gloves ( Yes even in Summer ! ) . Sense of Adventure !! . Your guide may refuse to take you on the mountain if you are not properly kitted for the Irish mountains as per this list. . Not suitable for anyone with low fitness or mobility issues

The starting point is in a rural area, 25 minutes drive from Killarney town. It is not on public transport route so a car or taxi hire is the only option to get there.
