Borobudur temple. The biggest Buddhist relics in South East Asia, with relief panels and statues, built between 780-840 AD. It has an area of about 2500 square meters with 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues with meditation postures and six different hand positions along the temple. UNESCO designated this majestic masterpiece as a World Heritage Site in 1991.
Prambanan temple. The largest Hindu temple in Indonesia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, as one of the most beautiful temples in Southeast Asia. It was built around the middle of the 9th century. The Shiva temple as the main temple has a height of up to 47 meters towering in the middle of a complex of clusters of smaller temples.
