The full-day tour includes a day in karst region of Slovenia, exploring its rich underground and interesting architecture.
First is the visit to Postojna Cave, a 20-km long karst cave system, a web of underground passages, galleries and chambers, which has in almost 200 years been visited by over 35 million people. It is both the largest cave of the Classical Karst and the show cave with the largest numbers of visitors in Europe. A ride on an electric mini train will take you deep inside the caves where a guide will lead you through the fascinating chambers rich in various forms of stalactites and stalagmites.
Ten kilometers further, perched on a 123 meters high cliff, stands Predjama castle, more than 700 years old. A view of the renovated castle rooms and their furnishings gives the visitor an idea of how people once lived and worked in the castle. Its uniqueness is not only the location, but also the secret cave passage which was used for a supply during the attacks of the castle.
