Imagine an immense lake, sparkling in the sunlight, surrounded by mountains and volcanoes covered with blooming wildflowers... That’s exactly where we'll take you to discover the lake’s secret town by a boat ride and a guided tour that’ll give you an insight into the heart of the Mayan culture.
We will visit the town of San Juan where you will learn about the living Maya culture, how they naturally dye their textiles, how they make chocolate products, and their cosmovision. We will also visit the most famous town in the region, Panajachel.
Note, if the weather does not allow us to cross the lake to San Juan, we will visit either Santa Catarina or San Antonio Palopo, which are in an area with little wind (we get there by boat). These towns are colorful and have a cultural charm that will leave you with a big smile on your face. Your security and our team members are a priority for us.
Public transportation options are available nearby. Specialized infant seats are available. Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries. Not recommended for pregnant travelers. Suitable for all physical fitness levels. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please note that the boat transfer can be a bit bumpy due to the movement of the lake waves. It is very likely that the boat will jump up and down, but don't worry, our pilots are highly professional and have years of experience. In addition, you will have life jackets at your disposal. Your safety is a priority for us.
We pick up all travelers at the motor lobby of their hotel or accommodation in Guatemala City or Antigua Guatemala
