No one can skip the lines to enter the Acropolis, only the line to purchase tickets. Entrance tickets to be handed by the guide in paper form on date and time of the visit, at the meeting point.. The Acropolis of Athens is a citadel built on top of a relatively steep hill which can be slippery at specific spots especially when raining.. Outside Acropolis metro station opposite the Crescendo cafe, near the escalators of the Acropolis Metro station (follow the exit Makriyianni/Dionysiou Arepagitou). Your guide will be next to the Metro sign, on the Makrigianni pedestrian walkway, holding a white and light blue “Athenian Tours” sign.
