The capital of this small island, Poros, has a large number of neoclassical buildings that were built amphitheatrically on the side of a mountain. Cobblestoned streets and white houses with red roofs and wooden balconies, all adorned, with pots full of flowers, colors, and scents.
There are many interesting things to do in Poros. For example, you can visit the archaeological museum, founded in 1960 and located in Korizi Square or the interesting Poros Sea Shell Museum. The church of Agios Georgios, a tiny but charming church full of wall paintings of contemporary Greek artists, is worth a visit.
