Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia. The city covers both sides of the Mtkvari (Kura) river. Tbilisi was founded in the 5th century AD by Vakhtang Gorgasali, Georgian King of Kartli. Hometown is a significant, social, industrial and cultural city with lots of sightseeing. Tbilisi developed into an important political and cultural center of the Caucasus. The Old Town is the most attractive part of the city, notable for its wonderful mix of cultures. Here, the mosque, the synagogue, the Armenian and Roman Catholic Churches link harmoniously with Georgian Orthodox churches and residential architecture.
One of the best wine destinations in Tbilisi is Ghvino Underground. It is the first organic wine bar in Georgia, which was founded by 7 vignerons. Here you can find the widest range of local natural wines.
