The Tower Bridge Experience offers you the opportunity to explore Tower Bridge as a living monument to London's past, through videos, interactive displays and individual exhibits. Waltz across the high-rise walkways on the spectacular new glass floor while watching the capital – St Paul’s Cathedral, Canary Wharf, maritime Greenwich as well as The London Eye – from the lofty heights of this celebrated Victorian bridge. Also not to be missed are the Victorian Engine Rooms, where you will encounter the original steam engines that once raised the bascules of the bridge. The sounds and smells will transport you back in time, while a fascinating virtual bridge lift reveals how the bascules still rise today to let ships pass beneath the walkways. To complete your experience, an exhibition created in partnership with Southwark Arts Forum and by artists in the local community explores the theme of ‘Tides of Change’.
