What To Expect
Stonehenge is perhaps the world’s most famous prehistoric monument. It was built in several stages, the first monument was an early henge monument, built about 5,000 years ago, and the unique stone circle was erected in the late Neolithic period about 2500 BC. In the early Bronze Age many burial mounds were built nearby.
Salisbury Cathedral has been a place of worship, welcome, and hospitality for over 800 years. Its Spire (the tallest in the country and a feat of medieval engineering) rises to a breath-taking 404ft/123m, guiding travellers, merchants, and pilgrims to the historic city, You can also discover how one of only four surviving original 1215 Magna Carta came to the Cathedral and view it in a special exhibition explaining its origins and continuing relevance to our lives today.

From Southampton it takes around 1 Hour to Stonehenge, here you will have a 2 Hours stop to visit the site, then from Stonehenge to Salisbury it takes around 30 Minutes, here you will have 1 Hour to visit the Cathedral, from Salisbury to London in takes around 2.5-3 Hours depending on the traffic. Tickets are NOT included for Stonehenge and Salisbury Cathedral, you must book them yourself prior to your visit. The Tour can be done From Southampton after your cruise or from London before your cruise.. Stonehenge Opening times: Monday - Sunday: 9.30-19:00, last entry at 17:00, Salisbury Cathedral Opening times: Monday – Saturday: 09:30 – 17:00 (with last bookable entry slot at 16:00) Sunday: 12:30 – 16:00 (with last bookable entry slot at 15:00) (The Chapter House and Magna Carta open 30 minutes after the Cathedral opens to visitors)
