What To Expect

Join us on a jam-packed journey in the Highlands and enjoy many iconic Scottish experiences in just one day. Our adventure begins at the legendary Loch Ness, where you will take a cruise and visit the ruins of Urquhart Castle for ideal monster spotting opportunities. After lunch in beautiful Beauly we have a Highland Whisky Experience where you can learn more about 'uisge beatha' (the 'water of life'). Learn the true story which inspired Outlander at Culloden Battlefield and attempt your own journey through the stones at Clava Cairns. We return to Inverness in the early evening.

Comfortable walking shoes and a rain jacket in case of light rain
Inverness Departure Point: 15 Union Street, Inverness, IV1 1PP (Across from the entrance to the Victorian Market). Look out for a blue or yellow bus.
Departure time is 8:15am, so the check-in time will be 7:45am
We are unable to hold the bus or refund for any late arrivals. Return times are approximate and subject to road conditions and weather. Please ensure you allocate sufficient time for any onward travel plans, allowing at least 3 hours after the scheduled return time for connections or activities.

The Loch Ness Cruise and Urquhart Castle are not suitable for individuals with mobility difficulty because of the steps to the dock and the steps to Urquhart ruins.
Please be advised that children under 5 years old may not take part in the tour, while anyone under 17 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please note that we cannot guarantee that people who have booked together will be seated together. We do not allocate seats.
It is very important to return to the coach on time at itinerary stops. Your guide will display the time that the bus departs on a clock that will be visible. Our coach cannot wait for you.

Collapsible wheelchairs can be accommodated providing the passenger is accompanied by someone who can assist them to board and disembark.
Cancellation of day tours: A full refund will be given if the cancellation is made more than 24 hours prior to the departure time. Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior to departure will incur a 100% fee.

Through an interpretive exhibition and a visit to the battlefield itself, you can learn why this hour\-long conflict changed Highland life and world history forever. With ongoing archaeological research and fresh historical interpretations, the story is far from over… More recently, the popular TV series *Outlander* has used the years prior to the Battle of Culloden as a backdrop.
