Walk with me through the past, present, and future of Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile. We’ll start at the top and walk in the footsteps of famously historic people who lived and died there (and some which time forgot). You’ll learn about the beginnings of Edinburgh as a city as well as how it developed to the present day through locations, anecdotes, and stories. Best experienced in the morning when there are fewer people around!
Wear comfortable shoes for walking and be aware that there are no public toilets on the route. Some topics may be unsuitable for young children.

Go to the very top of the Royal Mile and bear left. Once you are at the top there is a large platform in front of the castle. We will meet to the left as you walk into the front of the castle.
