This is the perfect tour for the newly arrived visitor who wants to acquaint themselves with the layout of Edinburgh's Georgian New Town. As this is a private tour you will be accompanied by your own private guide.
In 3 hours your guide will take you to all of the key highlights of the New Town. You will also be taken to the 'harder-to-find' little gems that will have you reaching for your camera for that memorable shot.
Don't be mistaken into thinking that New Town means a modern area of Edinburgh. The origins of the New Town can be traced as far back as 1767 when the foundation stone was first laid. We call the architecture of this era Georgian as it relates to the reign of Britain's then Kings, George III and George IV.
During your tour find out who was fortunate enough to be able to afford to live in the elegance and splendour of the New Town. We will contrast this with one or two of the surrounding areas before finishing off the tour with fantastic views from Calton Hill.
