The Catacombs of Paris are an underground ossuary that holds the remains of millions of people, making it a unique and historically significant site to visit. Originally, the site was a series of underground quarries used to mine limestone to construct buildings in Paris. Over time, these quarries became overcrowded cemeteries, leading to the decision to transfer the remains to the Catacombs. Today, it stands as a place of remembrance and a historical monument.

The Catacombs lie beneath the streets of Paris, and your visit will take you through a network of narrow passages, dark tunnels, and chambers. You'll descend down a spiral staircase to enter the underground world. As you walk through the Catacombs, you'll encounter walls and stacks of human skulls and bones, carefully arranged in a macabre yet respectful manner. This unique display of human remains is a solemn reminder of the city's past and its mortality.
