What To Expect

The Northern Lights are an amazing, natural spectacle, and for a lot of people the main reason they come to Lapland. Of course, you want to view the Northern Lights from the best possible location. Let your guide take you out to one of our best, lakeside viewing locations. Your local guide will tell you all about the "fox fires" (as the Finns call the northern lights). Your guides know where you'll get the best chances of northern lights sightings. They will also prepare salmon soup, pork sausage and blueberry tea for you; made right there by the birchwood fire.

Northern lights sightings are subject to weather conditions and solar activity, therefore they are not guaranteed
Pickup is available from selected hotels within a 15 km radius of Rovaniemi only. If you would like to get picked up from your accommodation, please contact the local operator at least 48 hours before the tour date. You'll find the contact details on your voucher after booking
The tour will be conducted in English; it's possible to require also a commentary for the following languages: German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese. Please check with the tour organizer for availability
Winter clothes are available on-site (overalls, boots, gloves and beanie)
Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by adults
