Discover the very interesting history of this magnificent palace, given to the king by the people of Santander. We will visit the interior of the Magdalena Palace and the most interesting rooms that are open to the public on the main floor, recounting, at the same time, the story of the Spanish kings Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia of Battenberg during their summers in Santander.
Next, we will walk through the most emblematic places of the Magdalena Peninsula, such as the “Museum of Man and the Sea”, where we will see “La Balsa” by Vital Alsar and the galleons that crossed the Atlantic Ocean, captained by this great Cantabrian sailor.
We will continue with the peninsula's mini zoo, where we will enjoy its striking inhabitants: sea lions, seals and Cape penguins. We will arrive at the monument in homage to Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente and also the old Royal Stables.
