The Lázaro Galdiano Museum is the result of José Lázaro Galdiano's legacy to the Spanish State. This museum, one of the few Madrilenian ensembles of mansion and garden that have survived to this day, houses more than 3,000 works of art (selected from its collection of 12,600) exhibited and distributed on four floors of what was the private residence of José Lázaro Galdiano and his wife Paula Florido. The motto "a collection of collections" expresses the eclecticism of the Museum's collections, its excellent pinacoteca, which includes great works by Goya, Zurbarán, Carreño, El Greco, Cranach, Constable or Bosch and is complemented by sculptures, weapons, ceramics , ivories, numismatics, jewelry, textiles, or miniatures among other varied collections.
