Discover Barcelona's food scene, a mix of Spanish and uniquely Catalan, with a fascinating past, as well as an ever-changing present.Begin your day like the locals do – at one of the most beloved food markets in the city, the Santa Caterina Market, its stalls have been kept within families for generations, and get advantage of two tastings, one of delicious Spanish cheeses, and the other of cured meats, including jamón ibérico; followed by a stop in one of the market’s most popular bars, you’ll be treated to a Catalan breakfast, with a glass of sparkling cava along with an array of specialty. Your guide will then take you, to one of the city's most storied neighborhoods, El Born; as you make your way down the narrow medieval streets, listening to fascinating stories, you will reach one of the city’s, where you will taste their croissants, regarded as the best on this side of the Pyrenees; followed by one of Barcelona’s specialty shops, to try three of their best-selling products. The next neighborhood is going to be La Barceloneta, on the seaside, where you will be introduced to the art of the Spanish apéritif. A glass of delicious vermouth will await for you at a local bodega, accompanied by one of the most typical tapas: the bomba. The final stop of the tour will be a traditional Spanish lunch in the fishermen’s district; try some of the best seafood paella in town, made using seasonal ingredients and paired with a delightful local wine.
